Within the activities of “Doha, Capital of Culture in the Islamic World 2021”, the activities of the Third Youth Research Forum will be launched today, Wednesday. The activities lasts for two days and will be broadcasted on the “WEBEX” platform.
His Excellency Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, Minister of Culture and Sports, Dr. Hassan Rashid Al Derham, President of Qatar University, Dr. Hamda Al-Sulaiti, Secretary-General of the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, and researchers from the State of Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman, Libya, Algeria and Morocco will participate in the forum.
The forum is part of Qatar University’s strategy aimed at developing scientific research among young people, especially aspects related to studies of identity, heritage and communication. The forum is organized by the Qatar University Center for Young Scientists belonging to Qatar University and in cooperation with the Qatar National Committee for Education, Culture and Science.
The forum aims to achieve several educational, cultural and societal purposes, as it represents an appropriate opportunity to direct youth towards the needs of society in the next stage in which the State of Qatar is preparing to host the FIFA World Cup in 2022. The forum is also an opportunity to emphasize the role of youth in maximizing the benefit from this tournament.
