Qatar Museums announced a number of cultural activities during September, including a set of culturally rich programs designed to promote the creativity, some of which are part of the activities of Doha Capital of Culture in the Islamic World 2021.
The Museum of Islamic Art will witness many diverse activities, including an exhibition entitled “Beautiful Memories from Palestine”, and it will be open to everyone until September 31, 2021 from Saturday to Thursday, which is an illustrated journey around Palestine through a collection of rare books available in the Museum’s library. The books cover a period of time from 1610 to 1930.
The museum will also hold an event titled “ِAbundant Carpets” within the activities of Doha capital of Islamic culture, on September 19, where it will showcase the huge diversity of shapes, sizes and colors of carpets in the collection of the Museum of Islamic Art.
It is noting that Qatar Museums provide authentic and inspiring cultural experiences through a growing network of museums, archaeological sites, festivals, public art installations, and artistic programs.
Qatar Museums preserve and expand Qatar’s cultural property by sharing art and culture from Qatar, the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia with the world, as well as enriching the lives of citizens, residents and visitors to Qatar.
