21 activities for “Katara” within Doha, Capital of Culture in the Islamic World
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs public procurement division and the Cultural Village “Katara” participates, among the strategic partners, in the activities of Doha Capital of Culture in the Islamic World 2021.
Mr. Mal Allah Abdul Rahman Al-Jaber, representative of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs at the events of Doha Capital of Culture in the Islamic World 2021, explained that there are activities offered by the ministry within the activities of Doha capital of culture in the Islamic world 2021, and other events that are presented within the strategic partners, noting that some activities of the Ministry Endowments and Islamic Affairs on this occasion during Ramadan month, including the “Islamic Cultural Security conference”, which discussed the Muslim nation and issues of unity, diversity, difference and renewal.
He pointed out during the program “360 Wayak in Eid” presented by Doha 360 website, that the events were affected by Corona pandemic, as there was a planning to hold the second version of “Firsts in the Holy Quran competition”, and it was postponed until the pandemic restrictions will be lifted.
From his part, Mr. Khaled Al-Sayed, Director of Events and Cultural Affairs at Katara, said that the cultural village will hold 21 events in Katara over the current year. He added that six events have been implemented, starting with Ramadan month.
About the influence of Islamic culture on Qatari culture, he said that the Islamic culture depends on human values, tolerance and cultural diversity, all of which contributes in that influencing, because the Islamic culture is the culture of the nation, and it depends on the Qur’an and the noble Prophet’s Sunnah.
He emphasized that Qatar play a major role in strengthening its relations with all Arab and Islamic peoples, because of the humanitarian values, tolerance, and cultural diversity that Qatari culture is characterized by. Therefore, the events of Doha Capital of Culture in the Islamic World 2021, will have a distinctive version.
