The organizing committee to host the events of Doha the capital of culture in the Islamic world 2021, issued the fourth edition of the electronic newsletter “Our Culture is Enlightenment”, in order to document the events and inform the followers of all the news about events, during the current health conditions that did not prevent Doha from continue working.
The newsletter covers all the news and events that held as part of the celebration of Doha the capital of Islamic culture, during May, including the opening sessions of the Ramadan program “Safe them from fear”, organized by Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, in its seventh edition, and the speech of His Excellency Dr. Ghaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari, Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
The newsletter also dealt with the speech of His Excellency Saleh bin Ghanem Al-Ali, Minister of Culture and Sports, during the opening of the symposium “Writing and Authorship, Ambassadors of Culture to Promote Cultural Diversity”. His Excellency said in his speech that the belief in cultural diversity is one of the principles of our civilization and our message to the world, and the Holy Quran proved that diversity is the law of human gathering, because Allah said in Quran: “And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colors: verily in that are Signs for those who know”.
The newsletter sheds the light on the history, arts and development of writing the Holy Quran, during a lecture entitled “Writing the Holy Quran through Ages”, which was held by Qatar National Library.
The newsletter also sheds the light on the activities of the interactive organizing committee, including the Ramadan gift box for Children, which included many interactive activities with the aim of focusing on the value of time, consolidating moral values, identity, heritage, and developing manual skills among the children.
