Experts calls to reinforce the sermons with evidences from Holy Quran

The Qatari Forum for Authors held the twenty-third session of the “Mirqat Qatar for Oratory”, as part of the activities of Doha, Capital of Culture in the Islamic World 2021, with participation of a number of orators.

Maryam Al-Subaie participated in the session and she delivered a sermon on “International Volunteer Day”, with amendments made. Also Samar Munib participated with a sermon: “Apology to Arabic. Ibrahim Al-Darami participated with a sermon titled “Who am I”, while Ahmed Azab gave a critic sermon.

The speech judges made a number of observations for the participants, both in terms of vocal performance, or pauses, as well as enhancing the speeches with evidence from Holy Quran and poetry, then the integrity of the language.

The arbitrators also called on the participants to avoid confusion and to come up with easy words with clear meanings, with the necessity of self-confidence.

“Mirqat Qatar for Oratory” comes within the framework of the Arabic Language Support Project, and is the first Arab platform for public speaking to revive and promote Arab heritage through training sessions to advance this original art towards fluency and rhetoric.
