The Qatari Forum for Authors has announced a package of various cultural activities during the holy month of Ramadan. The package will be presented remotely, as part of the activities of Doha, Capital of Culture in the Islamic World 2021, aiming to enrich the cultural scene, to keep abreast of the authorship movement among creative people, and to introduce new creations, including youth publications.
The forum revealed, through its Twitter account, that among the new initiatives is “Suhoor with an Author”, which will be presented weekly on every Thursday. In fact, a group of writers from different countries of the world will be hosted to talk about the atmosphere of Ramadan and the customs of Muslims during this holy month, whether they are inside their own countries or outside.
This initiative is presented by the researcher in history Dr. Ali Afifi Ali Ghazi, who will host in the first episode, the antiquities researcher, Mr. Khalifa Al-Sayed, who will talk about Ramadan in Qatar in the old days.
Among the new activities that the forum will present during the blessed month of Ramadan is “Dialogue of Mind, Youth Debates”. The first episodes will be launched on Tuesday, entitled “The Purpose of Writing Books”, presented by both writers Lina Alali and Issa Abdullah. This initiative will be presented weekly on every Tuesday.
