The fourth edition of Qatari Success Festival will kick off on Thursday at the Qatar National Convention Centre, the festival’s organising committee announced yesterday.
The festival will be held till August 28 in the framework of the activities of Doha Capital of Culture in the Islamic World 2021.
At a press conference yesterday, the organising committee stressed the keenness on adhering to all coronavirus (Covid-19) precautionary measures, in accordance with the measures announced by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), noting that all attendees must have received two doses of the vaccine.
The festival aims at highlighting the most successful experiences of influential and distinguished Qataris in all fields, and allowing an opportunity for meeting between officials and the public by organising dialogue meetings attended by general managers, chief executives, and directors of departments in various state institutions.
Head of the organising committee Faisal Khalid al-Otaibi revealed that this year’s edition will include many events and “surprises”, explaining that the festival will feature seven meetings covering various areas, including the “decision-makers meeting” which will host a number of dignitaries to talks about their success stories and provide valuable advice to Qatari youth on overcoming challenges.
The festival will also feature the “state institutions meeting”, which will serve as a dialogue session between senior officials in state institutions and the public; the “Shura Council meeting” – a platform to talk about the latest developments in the upcoming Shura Council elections, with the participation of jurists; and the “2022 meeting”, which will host an elite of administrative leaders supervising the organisation of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
At the economic level, the “finance and business meeting” will bring together a group of Qatari businesspeople to review their experiences and efforts.
In addition, the “poets meeting” will be a public meeting that brings together famous Qatari poets and youth, and the “Arab success meeting” which will be presented by Islamic preacher Dr Tariq Sweidan.
The Qatari Success Festival will feature free workshops and courses for citizens and residents, which will be held with the participation of top Qatari trainers, in addition to recreational activities and prizes amounting to more than QR1mn.
