10 categories competing for “Qatari Success” prize this year

Faisal Khaled Al-Otaibi, founder of “Qatari Success” initiative, confirmed that new version of the initiative this year is based mainly on public vote, pointing out that the version of this year comes under the slogan “Yesterday’s Dream.. Today’s Reality”. This version, which is the fourth of the initiative reflects the slogan greatly.

During a press conference, he said that the new in this version is that it is based on the public’s vote for 10 different categories for many prizes, and the winners will be announced on the last day of the ceremony next Saturday after the voting window is closed to the public, which takes place through the “Qatari Success” application.

He pointed out that the idea of “Qatari success” has been transformed into a prize that is voted on by Qataris and residents in the “Qatari Success” application for the best in all categories, which is the best youth initiative, best inventor, best poem for the year 2020-2021, best platform in social media, best local program in a local channel, best social media influencer, best ministry or government service institution, best young broadcaster, best newspaper, and best entrepreneur project.

He added that there will be prizes amounting to more than one million riyals, where prizes will be distributed to the audience at the end of each day of “Qatari Success” festival, which will continues for 3 days.

He said also that the annual ceremony, which will be held on August 26-28 at Qatar Convention Center, will witness the holding of 7 forums, including the Forum for Decision-Makers, which focuses on the success stories of decision-makers in the country, the most prominent stations and challenges, and the Shura Council Forum to talk about the latest developments of the Shura Council in its first session, and Poets’ Forum, which includes a poetry night from the creativity of the word and poets of Qatar.

He mentioned that the ceremony will also witness the State Institutions Forum, which includes a discussion that brings together representatives of the state service institutions to clarify some services and answer the questions and inquiries of the public. The ceremony also includes Dr. Tariq Sweidan forum, through which he presents a lecture on financial freedom and self-development, and “2022 forum” to talk about the latest preparations for the World Cup. It will be also a business and finance forum.

Al-Otaibi said that the number of parties participating in the ceremony amounted to 16 different entities from ministries, institutions and sponsoring companies in special pavilions throughout the duration of the celebration, pointing out that entry to the “Qatari success” ceremony will be limited to those who received two doses of the vaccine against “Covid-19″ virus.

He explained that on the sidelines of the ceremony, free workshops and courses for citizens and residents will be held during the ceremony, provided by the application of experiences.

According to Al-Otaibi these workshops include personal planning, effective financial planning for entrepreneurs, “secrets in digital marketing”, entrepreneurship (producing and studying project ideas), organizing and managing events, and secrets and techniques of photography with smart devices (mobile phones).

He added:” For the official sponsors of the “Qatari Success” ceremony, they are Free Zones Authority and Vodafone. The festival is being held in its fourth edition within the hosting program of Doha Capital of Culture in the Islamic World 2021″, and Ministry of Culture and Sports is the ministerial partner. Al Kass Sports Channels is the media partner, and Outbox Company organizes the events”.

He affirmed that it will be ensured that “Ehteraz” application is downloaded and highlighted in green before entering the ceremony site, with the need to maintain social distancing and adhere to precautionary measures. He pointed out that the initiative highlights the successful Qatari models to set an example for other generations to come.
